Jake Wren is a multi-instrumentalist singer songwriter teaching lessons through Skype and throughout the Finger Lakes Region. You can read his extended bio and CV here. As a Ph.D. student at Cornell in Music and Sound Studies, with prior degrees in Jazz and Classical guitar performance, Jake is equipped to instruct students of all ages in a wide variety of musical genres.

Where do we meet?
Where do we meet?
I offer both in person and remote music lessons.
In person lessons are for students in or visiting the Finger Lakes Region. If you are interested in meeting me in my studio or in the comfort of your own home, don't hesitate to reach out.
Online lessons take place over Skype, Google Meet, and Zoom, based on students preference. I never charge for online lesson cancellations due to technical difficulties.

My base rate is $30 for a 1/2 hour lesson, and $55 for an hour lesson. There is an additional travel fee for house call lessons negotiated on a case by case basis.

My hours of operation are generally from 10am-8pm on weekdays. My schedule is very flexible for lessons in my studio and online. For house call lessons I have different regions that I visit on certain weekdays.

I teach a wide variety of styles and genres of music ranging from classical and jazz to pop and country. My specialty is American Folk and Old Time music.
